The drums are silent
The storm clouds passing
And there is quiet in the night

No Tom-Tom Calling
No Russian waters
Nothing from Paris or Berlin

Out on the prairie
Wheat shocks drying
Waiting for an icy reception

The scarecrow’s motion
Comes from the breezes
Of those gliding by the field

I'd call it "Echoes of Time".

I like the poem. Sometimes, marvelous images come "thru" us interestingly through poetry. Keep writing. I like your work.
