Every time this question gets asked - and it is fairly often asked here - there are always those who list jesus as their answer. How sad. In everyone person's life there are dozens and dozens of individuals, some who did have an influence on you (for example: a teacher at your school) and others (like the doctors or scientists who have saved lives) you may not know - yet out comes the character from the bible.
While Confucius may not be the "most influential person who ever lived" he still is very influential in Asia, and jesus is not.
One reason why Confucius is an influential is he loved learning and elevated teaching into a higher position.

The most influential person who ever lived (and I personally know) is my Mother.
The person who gave me life, carried me around for nine months, fed me, clothed me and gave me the best education she could afford at the time.
She has passed away, but I always believe she is the one who has helped me grow emotionally and mentally strong and taught me many things that are important in life.

Ooooh hard one... I'd have to say one of the major prophets, incl. Jesus Christ, prophet Muhammed, or Moses.
Think about how many billions of people follow their teachings and their example. It's incredible how many people still continue to believe and act upon their sayings and beliefs.

Jenna Jameson. My life is centered around sex. She is naturally my idol. She is so blunt and honest. She is raw and passionate. To be honest, I don't necessarily find her that attractive, either. I indulge in the sins and am ultimately comfortable with who I am, so therefor, am an influenced by individuals who are as well.
