"In the first story, "Should Wizard Hit Mommy?" by John Updike, a three-year-old from a comfortable family can be lulled to sleep only by her father''s bedtime stories, which aren't always as innocent as they seem."

"Like the story "Too Far to Go", "Should Wizard Hit Mommy" searches for the ultimate realities of family life. Jack gets annoyed when Jo, his child, tries to change his bedtime story. Is "Roger Fish" a mistake, or could it insinute the idiom "more fish in the sea," hinting that Jack wants another woman? The couple has been married for seven years, and it's possible there's a cliché itch involved. Jo, the toddler, changes pronunciations in the intro of this story, learning from daddy's anger (aminal becomes animal, a typical toddler mistake). At the end of the story, we find the couple both trapped in a routine of responsibility, due to the child. Jack realizes they are both stuck, not just him."

That's all I could find - hope it helps.
