Arts & Humanities - 31 August 2007

I recently found out why. Ever since I left the Army, I have been in a battle to prevent poverty from setting in and as of now, I am not winning by leaps in bounds. Maybe some day soon, for I will and do what I can to get out it.

However, I am now in a situation I often wonder about how to pay the rent, afford groceries and afford my car payments so I can get to work on time so I can retain ajob to keep an income.
It is not absolute hell, however it is not the best situation to be in.

Due to the suffering, stress and frustration of dealing with my situation, I find my self writing more material (comedy routines and stories.) to express my frustration and problems and help clear my head and keep my cool. It is a way to let out negative emotions that cannot be expressed verbally or cannot be worked out in polite conversations.

The need to express becomes a need to create. Thats my theory, what is yours?

Okay, so my new school (British school in America) also has an excelent music program. This is my first year learning in the British system. Instead of them saying, whole note, half note, quarter note and those terms, they say, crotchet, semibreve and minim. Can someone please please give me a conversion from terms like quarter notes and stuff into that British system? Thank you SOOO much!

i'm thinking of becoming an actress
since acting is basically what makes me
happy. i just dont know what to say to my mom&dad
they want me to become something important. but i just cant
do it,it wouldnt feel right. im thinking of taking acting classes. maybe finding an agent
then building my porfolio to give to the agent and give to a major
film company.

i become someone ive always wanted to be.
then i give money to people that are needy.
and do whats right like angelina joline.
im not the type of person that hogs things.
ever since i was little i used to share food with everyone
and i still do. i just dont feel right if im the only one having something.
for instance a chocolate bar. i take a bite offer to my mom offer to my dad
offer to my brother and grandmothers if they're there.
i want to become an actress yes for the fame, but i just want to use
that as being noticed as a giving person. not a druggy that has nothing
better to do so he/she does drugs.

I am in a dilemma, I know that going on yahoo answers and seeking wisdom to decide my life is not something one should do, but i just want to see what some of you smart people have to say.

I want a career that i will not regret, it needs to be something i can have great pride in like hey i do this-----for a living or something. My fields of interest are action oriented as i recently tried to join the navy in hopes of becoming a navy seal. I was not able to because of a benign medical problem with my kidneys. I think i am pretty smart when i apply myself and i love to workout. I have no funds for college and currently work just to cover my car payments and cell bill. So anyone have ideas on what a very ambitious 20 year old could do.

I know I ask a lot of questions, but will you help me out at least once more? I need to know what the basic art supplies I need are if I want to draw manga, and where I can get them for the best prices. I'm on kind of a tight budget. the poems I write have no meaning whatsoever, they're just words strung together, and people will ask me what they mean and I'll be like I don't know..like they'll sound like a distressed teenager going through a breakup, or a kid whose parents are going through a divorce but I'm not going through any of that. I'm a bright, happy person, even. but does poetry always have to make sense and have meaning that you can relate to?
