I have been playing for over 30 years!! You have to practice everyday...there are no shortcuts & I can't give you any tips on how to get better quicker! Just put at least a good hour away each day if you're really serious for practice! I used to spend the whole day practicing or jamming with my friend!!!

We're speakme approximately your fretting hand, correct? The elementary reply could be NO - your finger tip has to touch the string and the agonize board to get a blank sound. Even a rather lengthy nail finally ends up digging into the agonize board. However, I have obvious a few women preserve their hands flat to hinder the nails - they are not able to play good, however they may be able to play a few elementary chords. I feel that is what Dolly does.

Damned fan is correct. An hour a day will take you a long way. Once you can play "reasonably well", you can play most songs "reasonably well".
