People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Walter Mondale’s Op-Ed piece (7/30) complaining about Vice President Cheney is self-serving at best. Cheney is no worst then he was back then when he was the VP of the Carter administration. Let’s not forget that the economy during his term in office suffered from staggering 14 percent interest rates, saw the down sizing of our military and intelligence agencies to the point of ineffectiveness, which culminated in the feeble attempt to rescue our Iranian embassy diplomats who where consequently held and humiliated for 444 days. Carter’s lack of action and resolve at the time was the beginning of Iran’s disrespect for the USA now. It was a very depressing time for everyone. After his four years as VP, Mondale’s political career sank like a rock and never recovered. In my view, Mondale has little room to criticizing anyone.

what can I say
about my false visions
is there a reason
for me to stay
mouth, burnt, filthy
I cannot pray
I am all in
my humility
will you laugh for me
I cry when I fall
for no reason
even at all
stabbed in the lung
this is healthy
like the time
I was hung
in your backyard
Am I now
Not as alive
as I had seemed
can you see
dead bodies
make piles
next to me
I am not as alive
as I had seemed.

Around 500 years before the birth of our Savior, the spirit of science began to be applied to the practice of medicine. Where before the ancients looked to "the gods" to explain the workings of the natural world, Hippocrates (b. ca. 460 B.C.) urged that sine qua non of science: observation.
In the course of the studies that merited his becoming known as "the Father of Medicine".

This theory of bodily humors, called "humorism " or "humoralism" -- holds that each person produces all of these humors, but that the preponderance of one relative to the others -- a condition called "dyscrasia" -- brings on illness.

I don't know what to do, I really have a passion for dance but at the same time I have a passion to write. I dance most of the time but tI miss writing tremendously because I'm so good at writing my own poems and stories and people like them. I want to be a writer but I am a great dancer, advanced and I really love it and may want to consider being a professional. All of a sudden I got caught up in dancing and I feel like I let my Dad down because he really loves my stories and asks me when I'm going to write another one. I've always had a thing for literature but dancing too. I don't know if I can squeeze them both in. What should I do?

At what point of your life do you realize you will not be famous, rich or powerful? When do you find peace with the fact that you will have a normal, uneventful life and your fantasies of being an actress or famous writer will never come true? I know you can always have hope and your dreams but when do you accept what you have been given and can truly be content? I'm nearly 22 and I think I'm in the transition phase between the two stages. How long will this take? What was it like for you? Are you content with the life you have been given?
