I don't know what to do, I really have a passion for dance but at the same time I have a passion to write. I dance most of the time but tI miss writing tremendously because I'm so good at writing my own poems and stories and people like them. I want to be a writer but I am a great dancer, advanced and I really love it and may want to consider being a professional. All of a sudden I got caught up in dancing and I feel like I let my Dad down because he really loves my stories and asks me when I'm going to write another one. I've always had a thing for literature but dancing too. I don't know if I can squeeze them both in. What should I do?

Well miss Dancer, there once lives a great artist named Dega. He was tremendous at his craft. He also loved the theater and ballet in particular. Many of his most famous works are of dancers behind the scene.

So, I say dance young lady !

But when you dance, compose a story in your mind about a dancer. What better subject to paint word pictures of than what you know and love to do!

Then, each night before bed, put those thoughts into words. No doubt, you'll create a novel. A novel of characters based on real life people and experiences. The students, the instructor, the parents and the dancer !

And please, when you have written it, share it with us.
Good Luck !

Go for both! I love to write and to dance too. Integrate the two. It's possible. Like one user said, you can write a story about a dancer. Have you seen the movie "One Last Dance" with Patrick Swayze and Lisa Niemi? The script was written by Lisa Niemi. She's also the main dancer in it. And she was the director. So don't feel torn between the two. Just dream big and go for your dreams!

Sure you can --- write and dance .
Never stop writing and stop dancing when your legs give out.
The world needs good writers very badly.
Dancing is so good for you in so many ways but being a famous dancer is a pipe dream for most of us. Dance for the right reasons . Its good for your physical and emotional health and it helps you think better too !
