'That an take forever if you don't want to let go of a fantasy. However, the sooner you deal with reality, the better the rest of your life will be. That doesn't mean for a minute that you give up on your dreams or stop striving for improvement, far from it. It just means you have to take a realistic inventory of your skills talents and accomplishments and be honest with yourself. from there, you look at your dreams and if you are missing some of the qualifications to get there, then pursue those qualifications. A good place to start looking at yourself is your personality, If you are an introvert, you will have a tough time being in the spotlight all the time. When you get discouraged, turn on the news and see lots of people who aren't as fortunate as you. you can recharge your resolve this way. The best thing I can tell you is to learn as much as you can from other peoples mistakes so you don't have to learn the hard way as they did.

You start accepting the life, and moment, you are existing in during the only time period that matter; Now. That is the only way to have lasting contentment is to simply be contented with what is. How you feel about something, wanting things to be different, will not change the truth of the matter, at least not in the moment that is Now, thus the only way to have lasting contentment (a series of contented Nows, one after the other) is to accept what is, as that is all you can do to be content.
Put another way, the solution to suffering in the world is that there is no solution. When you accept that in this very moment, the moment you are in, will not change, all thats left for you to do is be content or discontent, and I would rather be content as that makes for a much better quality of life. This does not mean that you don't strive to change things for the better, to lessen the suffering, but you simply accept what is in *this* moment because that is all there is.
Hope this helped! Hang in there! Also, try learning to meditate (breathing meditation, also called "Insight" meditation), its good for finding happiness and contentment!

The answer is NEVER! You are so young, you have how many years in front of you? You can still be a writer or actress. You of anyone have PLENTY of time. The trick is persistence and in being flexible in finding new ways to reach your dreams. Sometimes the path you thought you'd use to get to your dream isn't always the right direction or the only direction to get there.

idk, i'm 13 and i got that feeling a long time ago, like when i was 8. yeah, like every kid i used to dream big, like i'd go to carnegie hall (that was my biggest dream) or something but nah now i try to dream realistically. i want a fun, interesting life, & i definetly don't think my life will be uneventful, just not famous, rich, or powerful. i think i've found a happy stability in my life, it wasn't always like that. i'm pretty content with what i was given.
(well maybe i'm just *young* and by the time i'm 22 i'll realize what u mean, but i doubt it.)

I don't remember exactly when it happened for me. I know when it DID happen, When I saw I was never going to be "Discovered" and make my millions. It happened when I was smart enough to realize that fame and glamour and even money are a house of cards in themselves. I saw famous people for what they were and realized what the fame had done to them (not a path I wanted for myself). Likewise I saw how friends of mine started acting when they got rich themselves.
When you become disenchanted with your fantasies is when you will quit holding out for that to happen for you. It's like they lose their power over you-the glitter fades. It's a lot like the first time you realize your parents aren't the smartest people in the world.

At 22 you still have the opportunity to become anything you want to be. Set your goals and plan the steps to get there. When you mature and realize that the life you've got is great, then you are there.

You accept it at your own pace, and it is not happening all at once. Also, your dreams will happen if you truly implement all your knowledge and talents. If your talents do not apply to your dream, thats different and you will have to accept your life. But i reiterate my first sentence.
