I was told by a friend today that the childrens story Jack and Jill is actually about a merchant and a queen who had an affair. The would run off into the woods and have their rendevous every chance they got and then one day the queen got pregnant and when the king found out it wasn't his child he had the merchant beheaded (thats how the merchant lost his crown). The queen was found guilty of treason and hung (Jill came tumbling after).

Anyone know if this is true.

isn't it funny how he thinks he knows the character of snape quite well before the 7th book, and consequently he took lily out of the scene altogether..? he deleted an essential clue!

TODAYShow.com: In a chapter titled "Snape's Worst Memory," Harry sees his teenage father and his friends attack the young Snape. Why would this be "Snape's worst memory"?

Harry Potter director: You know why it’s Snape’s worst memory? Because it’s a kind of public humiliation and it’s quite an intense scene in the film. It’s intense because there’s the notion that his character has such gravitas and authority and such power and everyone hates him for it. But in this scene we see how weak and vulnerable he is. He would hate for everyone at Hogwarts to see that scene.

would anyone else be really upset if he took the snape loves lily storyline out of the end? i think it would ruin it.

(spoiler warning~)

Hello,
Anyone knows which parts in HP books 1~7 mentioned that Lily Potter's Patronus was a doe?
How did harry know that Lily Potter's Patronus was a doe?

I really have no idea of that.

(except the part which Harry said, "Snape's Patronus was a doe, the same as my mother's.")

If Lily Potter's Patronus was really a doe,
then was Harry a fawn, then? since his dad was a stag. (It reminds me of a Disney movie)

Anyone knows what is the meaning of deer in magical world?

Thanks a lot.

Maybe it's a silly thought, but ever since I was first asked what I want to do when I grow up, I've always told them I wanted to be an actress. Of the television sort, that is. And I was highly considering taking drama classes in college, so at least I might have some sort of career someday. (I'm going to be 18 in less than a year and throughout the years never really thought about life after high school, so my future is a huge mess at the moment) So - would a degree in performing arts through college be of any help to act in movies and on TV?
