isn't it funny how he thinks he knows the character of snape quite well before the 7th book, and consequently he took lily out of the scene altogether..? he deleted an essential clue!

TODAYShow.com: In a chapter titled "Snape's Worst Memory," Harry sees his teenage father and his friends attack the young Snape. Why would this be "Snape's worst memory"?

Harry Potter director: You know why it’s Snape’s worst memory? Because it’s a kind of public humiliation and it’s quite an intense scene in the film. It’s intense because there’s the notion that his character has such gravitas and authority and such power and everyone hates him for it. But in this scene we see how weak and vulnerable he is. He would hate for everyone at Hogwarts to see that scene.

would anyone else be really upset if he took the snape loves lily storyline out of the end? i think it would ruin it.

I SO TOTALLY AGREE WITH YOU.

I mean, I could understand why the directors/editors wouldn't want to include some parts into the movies, which would make it too long, but seriously -- things that they're missing are pretty crucial later on down in the line.

I even heard that they weren't going to include Kreacher in Order of the Pheonix and JKRowling had to tell them to keep him. That would've totally screwed up the movie for Deathly Hallows.

When I was reading Deathly Hallows, I kept thinking to myself, "How are they going to make this into a movie?" I mean they're are so many deaths..I doubt that they'll keep half of those deaths though. They'll either not kill off so many people or they wouldn't "die" but be "unconscious" or something like that.

But seriously..if they cut out that Snape and Lily part..That just wouldn't be fair at all to Snape's character.

Anyway, when Deathly Hallows comes up we can be sure that it would be hard to live up to the fans' expecations -- and that a whole chunk of the book would be cut.

Agreed completely. The only reason Snape left Voldemort was because of Lily and his love for her. If he didn't show how Lily stood up for him, then it doesn't make sense anymore...
The movie itself had a lot of work put into the effects and stuff, but it was to rushed and cut out some of hte crucial details, like that one >.<
Damn the stupid directors >___<

Oh brother. Everything the director said WAS right. It WAS one of his worst memories because of what James did and everything else that the director said. However, it was also his worst memory because he called Lily a "mudblood", but the director obviously couldn't say that! And they HAVE to put the "snape loves Lily storyline" in the 7th movie to explain why Snape killed Dumbledore. lol.

I think the last three directors really have been ignoring a lot of important items and would not be surprised if this one, should he still be the director come the making of the seventh movie, leaves that element out.
