The best way to ship a guitar all depends on your budget. If you don't have a budget and you can spend as much as you want you should: Buy a hardshell case, pad the case so shock doesn't affect the guitar that much and put it in a sturdy, heavy-duty box with bubble-wrap and styrofoam peanuts and ship it with a reliable shipping company. Don't forget a return address in case the package gets off its track. If it's an acoustic guitar, don't forget to control the amount of moisture in the guitar so it doesn't crack. You can buy a moisture control insert. Don't forget to wrap the guitar's headstock with bubble-wrap or a cloth and loosen the strings if necessary.
If you are on a tight budget, wrap the guitar in soft foam or tissue paper. Wrap it's headstock and loosen it's strings. Put the guitar in a box fairly close to its size and then put that box into another box that is sturdy and heavy-duty. Put bubble-wrap and peanuts for its safety. Ship with a reliable shipping company and write a return address.

The best way to ship your guitar is loosen the strings first and then place the instrument in a solid, hard shell case. Put the case inside a large enough box and pack it with shipping peanuts or wadded newspaper or anything to keep it padded and safe.

Then ship by U.P.S. if possible.

We bought a vintage electric guitar from e-bay a few years back. It was double gig-bagged and then boxed. It arrived in great condition. Although it didn't travel too far, just within the U.S.

Pack it in those peanuts or bubble pack, make sure that you loosen up the strings, put it in a case, and then a box and make sure that the box is sealed tight, and last of all make sure that you have your return address on the box !!!!!!!!!
