Should I Say Please?

I am scheduled to die by a firing squad.
Or to be hanged after the torture session.

My body will be drilled, suffocated, branded.
I will be raped and sodomized.

But for the present moment I am free to speak.
Even urged to talk.

Should I say please?

This was written by a sixth grader and is the intro paragraph to a literary analysis on symbolism in the book. Grammar and content suggestions are welcome.
Christopher Paul Curtis, author of The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963, uses both conventional and non-conventional symbolism to show the hatred and prejudices against African Americans at the time of the Civil Rights Movement. As Kenny Watson uses non-conventional symbolism to portray his fears and thoughts, a white supremacy group uses conventional symbolism to convey their hatred for races other than their own- leading up to the church bombing Kenny’s younger sister, Joetta, narrowly escapes, leading up to yet another case of non-conventional symbolism. The Watsons Go to Birmingham-1963 by Christopher Paul Curtis relies heavily on symbolism to explain the devastating events of that time.

What is the 1st major world event that you remember? Where were you, what were you doing? I remember when Eric Rudolph, (was that his name?) bombed that abortion clinic. I remember my mom trying to explain it to me, I was really little. I remember when Princess Diana died. I'm just wondering, what are the things that made such a big impression on you that you have remembered all of your life?

what was the premise and argument or proof that led to such an assumtion/conclusion.

not to insult anyone's work or carreer etc..
but I hardly believe scientists (or anyone) know why the universe exsists, or from whence it came other than an 'arbitrary' big bang concept etc...
infact, I hear of findings of many 'non local' anomalies as the study of science deepens, (as in quantum mechanics as only an example)

so how then should we go about casting such limits?

please tell me their grounds or basis for this.
thanks.

im 16 and play alto sax in the high school band. ive played piano for 7 years and sax for 5. i was thinking about switching to oboe cuz it seems like a very interesting instrument with a unique sound. i tried bassoon the other day but found it was kinda hard with all the fingerings. but i didnt seem to have any trouble produced a decent sound on the double reed. i was wondering if oboe was similar to sax or bassoon in any ways and if it would be somewhat easy for me to switch over....
