In all seriousness, I recommend entertaining books by authors who write well in English. With many apologies, I do not recommend Harry Potter, because that is written in a British English that has been edited for U.S. readers, not always successfully.
I recommend the first three of the "Tarzan" novels by Edgar Rice Burroughs. I recommend the first three of the "Oz" books by Frank Baum. Persons may complain that these are "children's books," but they were written 100 years ago for fairly mature children. And they're available in cheap paperbacks.

If you're looking for something simple to start with, Lemony Snicket's A Series of Unfortunate Events is narrated in a unique style where he uses an unusual word, defines it, then repeats it throughout the book.
Otherwise there are many books that will help you expand your english vocabulary, just make sure you have a dictionary on hand while reading.
Examples: Harry Potter (series) by J.K. Rowling, A Tale of Two Cities by Charles Dickenson, The Hundred Secret Senses by Amy Tan, Wuthering Heights by Emily Bronte

Absolutely anything. Reading a lot will easily build your vocabulary. However, I would recommend any book by Jeffrey Deaver or Alice Hoffman. I have liked everything I have read by both of them.
