Im a young christian, and have not been through great hardship or suffering, but i simply do not see the point in life. I feel very little motivation to continue living, and wonder if this is a widespread feeling, or if other people have some powerful motivation. Many say love or religion, but i believe i have experianced both (i am a devout christian and have a girlfriend), and neither one makes me feel i want to continue living. That being said, i fully appreciate the fortune i have in being healthy, provided for, and having all the caring people around me, but none of that gives me a reason for living.

So with this belief, logically, life shouldnt be worth living. I have contemplated suicide, but am held back solely by fear of pain of dying and the unknown. So, i ask, what makes other people continue living, and do the majority of people feel the way i do?

Assuming that slavery had not been legal or illegal in 1860 (NOT AN ISSUE] and tte disagreement between the north and south had been something else (suggestions invited), if you had been either a young person in 1860 or, say, 60 years old, born in Ky, Md, Mo or another border state, which way would have you have gone, when you finally had to answere the question, and why?

There was a book advertised on Fox News about Herbert W. Armstrong called, "FROM THE RUINS." I don't know who wrote it, but would like to get a copy.
Noted: He was a world renowed Evangelist from the 1970's.
