my friend told me about a cool book in which in the future, people make a fake society that appears to be so real and this kid grows up thinking its life and is the star of his TV series, when every single thing he has ever known were all actors, lol. There'd be strange things like hearing parts of an advertisement, which was real, etc. lol He found out that it was fake when he was like 40, when he has a "good job, wife, etc". He finally "Exits" the society, and it symbolizes heaven!

I'm writing a novel set in the 1890's and want to set a scene in the Royal London Hospital. One of the chracters has been taken there; she is dying of consumption and I wanted to have her being visited by her husband and son... but I'm unable to find any specific information on whether visitors were allowed at all. Can you give me any more background to my scene?

I often hear on the news, etc. people who say something about God must have been looking out for them, because they didn't die in whatever disaster just struck nearby. Wouldn't that mean that God wasn't looking out for the people who DID die in the disaster? I believe that maybe God gives us life and everlasting life, but much of what happens on earth is just life and He doesn't "choose" who dies when. Comments?

When I sing, it feels like my voice has to strain or be forced to go down to a low note, and it sounds horrible. Like, if I'm singing along to a low part in a song, I have to sing it higher because my voice doesn't seem good with low notes....But sometimes I hit them and make them good. Any tips on how to somehow "open up" my throat to make them come out easier?

What I mean is, did he ever flip the switch on a gas chamber? Did he actually shoot jews in the head? From my understanding, he didnt, he only got all his goons to do the dirty work for him. He just sat back and encouraged his followers to do it allowing him to just sit back and relax. This doesnt make him any less evil, it just makes him a coward.

I'm a young teen writer and I'm almost finished with my books. I've been sending it chapter by chapter to some of my friends so they can tell me what I need to add or change.

So now, I'm at the editing stage because I'm self publishing my book as a gift for someone but I need to edit it first. Does anyone have any tips for editing?

I think it is strange how when you wake up from a dream, no matter what the dream was, one wakes up to reality. Then one takes one minute to think what reality is, then the fact of being awake to reality seems even starnger then the dream. We always share our dreams with others, wild imaginative dreams, but few people share the small details of being awake to realitys of everyday. The strange thing is being here and this being the only reality we know, not being able to wake up, like from a dream. Yet most things of what we know about our reality is a mystery, and yet this the only real thing we know. Days and nights are strange, and after the short time I have existed here, I am still surprised by everyday that passes. So I am wondering what others think and feel about this, your own words about life???

I read this poem in a book about 2 years ago. I can't remember the title of the book, but I do remember that the poem was "Dream City of an Immigrant".

It was about a immigrant's struggle here, although I just want this poem, not recommendations.

Thanx!

regardless of if we are innocent UNTIL proven guilty.?

I personally do feel this...that we persecute everybody in our paths...right or wrong...we don't care and we don't spare anyone..that we all can be quite heartless!
I know that I have done this, and it also bothers me,greatly!
I also feel that we who signed the "three strikes you are out" law...should have thought a lot harder about this.....before signing anything! I know that I stupidly signed that thing...and as much as I thought about it...I didn't know ENOUGH..regarding this bill! I should have asked..and really talked more about it...trying to find out MORE.....it isn't the greatest thing to have around in the first place!!!

My son was telling me on the way to school the other day that he was 'learning about Albert Einstein'., and that his teacher had told him that Einstein was the cleverest person that ever lived. Whilst at the time I simply nodded in agreement (something i'm sure every parent can symphasie with during a busy school run), It did get me thinking after...'Is his teacher right, although it does seem a little presumptious when you consider it.

For example, was Einstein 'cleverer than Newton or Archamedes, can he be compared to philosphers such as Aristotle or Plato. What about engineers and architects such as Brunel or Da Vinci?

Therefore whilst this is simply a hypothetical question, can you list your top five of any era (although dont put 'the inventor of the wheel' unless you actually know thier name)
