The Secret Life of Bees - good book about mother/daughter issues
The Life of Pi - just an overall good book, has to do with religion some
My mother and I both enjoyed these books, and although we read them seperately, I think they'd be good to read together too.

I think the Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants and its sequels. Teen girls also enjoy the Tamora Pierce books.
Anne M. Martin has a young adult series called California Diaries. I believe it deals with a lot of teen issues.
There is a great trilogy by Caroline Cooney, it's a time travel story. Both Sides of Time, Time Windows, Prisoner of Time, be sure to find out the right order.

The Book Esther. It's the seventeenth book in the Bible. I also recommend Jane Austen's books Pride and Prejeduce (sorry if i didn't spell that right) or Sense and Sensebility (again sorry about the spelling) Good luck!

If you believe in what God can do I have heard the book "Battle field of the mind for teenagers" by Joyce Meyer.
It is suppose to help teenagers with life changes.
