i really love to write and i've been doing it for years. i won some competitions in writing short stories. lately i've been considering to actually publish my story but i'm kind of scared that the publisher might reject it. what's the measurement to know wheter your writing is good or bad? i mean, i can't judge my own writing, right?

i appreciate your help. thanks :)

I'd like to know the place of religion in Victorian England. What was the main religion, how did they treat other sects and women? What were their views on social class and poverty? Any useful sites would be appreciated, thanks.

Why do even the most beautiful ones feel insecure about their looks? Why do even the most intelligent make foolish relationship choices? Why don't we realize that we don't need men at all, that they are only anchors around our necks? Why don't we stand up & demand better? Why don't we realize our own strength?

(Ok, this is obviously a generalization. There are many powerful women who celebrate their unique beauty & don't criticize themselves or obsess over flaws, who have healthy loving relationships or who live independently, happy without men, women with conviction, women aware of their own power -- but I'm referring to the rest of us...)

I've had a bad day...
Can you tell?!

an atheist often suggests that the existence of evil entails the nonexistence of God. For, he argues, if God exists, then being omniscient, he knows under what circumstances evil will occur, if he does not act; and being omnipotent, he is able to prevent its occurrence. Hence, being perfectly good, he will prevent its occurrence and so evil will not exist. Hence the existence of God entails the nonexistence of evil.
