Has anyone read Year of Wonders by Geraldine Brooks and what did you think of it, I am about to start reading it

Never heard of it nor the author. But, I'll check it out. I find stories surrounding huge natural events beguiling. Presumably, you've read Albert Camus's story 'The Plague'?

I read it and liked it very much but I do like books about the plague. It was very interesting.
