The same is true for almost all countries after globalisation of the world.
The world is becoming a big global village.
I think positive sides are also there.

It is true that the new generation has accepted and taken in western culture.But it can not be said that western culture has encroached you. Off-course the influences are felt and it should be so. If our culture has any strength westerners will take in our culture. If it is inherently weak and only a show it will soon die out, because young people can not accept hypocrisy and phoniness.

.Cultures always encroach on one and other. We fight like crazy because of this. It is the thing that makes us war like.
We are so easily manipulated by the powers that be -- US government, right wing extremists that we all know are screwed up, the insanity of opposing religions, the governments of hate that put themselves against the possibility of a reasonable world and that of a descent one. Oh and anyone that disagrees with me is a commie!
And don't get me wrong there are other countries culpable of this. The reason that we pick on Americans is because they are(I want to say a-holes of the world) the most pervasive country around and; lets get with it; the most ignorant super power that has ever been.
The world today is not a bunch of 'nice' people living together in nice little groups of happy little campers. It's a sweet thing but it ain't so. The world is a mean and nasty place and TV just doesn't get you there.
If all the rich people in the world died what would happen to the poor?
If all the poor people died what would happen to the rich?

indian culture has been influenced by the west since the time of alexander the great.. soo abotu 2300 years... Indians cultures is what it is partly because of western cutlure
...and of course vise versa
very few cultures have developed independently

DEFINITELY. don't u see how show - off(y) and hypocritic people have become.Western culture is not bad i mean, but we do have our own culture.but we can't change everyone . i can't tolerate people with so much of attitude. it just freaks me out.
