Salvador Dali painted "persistance of memory" in the 30's. Bosch painted "Garden of earthly delights" in the 1500's

The central theme in Dali's painting comes from the lefhand pannel in Bosch's work.

The central theme in Dali's "Persistence of Memory" is decay and impermanence. The famous melting clocks mean that time is not important, not permanent and the ants attacking the gold watch are a symbol of decay.

I'm struggling to see a strong connection to Bosch's work - unless you are referring to the theme of transcience and impermanent nature of things.

The left-hand panel of Bosch's "Garden of Earthly Delights" is "The Earthly Paradise" showing Adam and Eve (with God) in Eden. We know their time in Paradise is limited and therefore transient - this I would imagine is the link to Dali's work that you are referring to?
