I am writing a research paper on this topic and I am trying to get feedback from people around the globe. I want to know what you think and why.

Personally, I believe it is not proper to introduce one theory and not the other. Creationism alot of times is taken as just belief in the Bible and no scientific proof. Although, creation-science is backed up by a plethora of scientist indepth studies. Evolution is also a theory. I think that both should be taught or neither should be introduced.

Justin V said "Teaching one without the other is like teaching kids that they have only 2 left hands, and not right and left."
I agree with this statement.

I appreciate all your feedback! : ) Thanks!

I'm coming under the idea that 'essence' is a paradox...at least that which our minds perceive, even thought the transcendental may be pure?

I am recently getting over a cold an my ears throat and nose doctor gave me medicine for getting rid of my mucus. The only problem is the medicine is making the mucus come UP and i havent been able to sing for about 5 days because of the excess amounts of it. I havent even been able to sing in my choir classes and our concert is next week. This is the prime in my singing season for caroling and school gigs and so i REALLY need my voice. Does anyone know what might help me get my voice by the end of the week?

Does anyone know the name, or the name of the painter of the classical painting in which a fence stands between a a group of young white girls and a black boy? The one that supposedly symbolizes the social barriers existing in the early 1900's? I remember there were flowers on the white side, once again symbolizing the opportunities and niceties granted to that social class at the time period. I saw it once on Wikipedia and I found that I now want to use it in a presentation and can't find it. o.o Any help is greatly appreciated.

AH, Douglass, we have fall'n on evil days,
Such days as thou, not even thou didst know,
When thee, the eyes of that harsh long ago
Saw, salient, at the cross of devious ways,
And all the country heard thee with amaze.
Not ended then, the passionate ebb and flow,
The awful tide that battled to and fro;
We ride amid a tempest of dispraise.

Now, when the waves of swift dissension swarm,
And Honour, the strong pilot, lieth stark,
Oh, for thy voice high-sounding o'er the storm,
For thy strong arm to guide the shivering bark,
The blast-defying power of thy form,
To give us comfort through the lonely dark.

I was having difficulty sleeping last night because the thought of death was harboring in my mind. I'm an atheist and it's really a frightening thing to think about death. I mean- how do we just become non-existent? Are there any theories that atheists have? One theory I made up when I was about 12 or 13 was the 'everything is everything' theory. I can't really explain it because I don't understand it myself but I think that when we die, nothing happens. People will still have their sense of existence while we won't. But the transition to becoming non-existent really frightens me. Am I making any sense? Probably not. What do you think the transition to death may feel like? Will it feel like anything?

im so sad, i have friends, but i dont know no one seems to know and care of who i really am
i have been called weird and all of those things because i tend to break the rules like i did not take up nursing eventhough it would pay me a lot of money, i took philosophy because i wanted to learn about life, i have no boyfriend at all because i dont want to make myself sexy or beautiful or glamorous i want to be plain and be appreciated for who i am exactly, i cant talk to someone and really feel that they are concerned for me, not even my siblings, they dont practically listen to me they are pre occupied with their own lives, i have always wanted to be unique but being unique is really very hard, i listen to reggae and my friends listen to pop, i read tons of books and all they want to do is go to the mall, i dont know if i can relate to anybody, i feel alone, not needed, and no one in this world specifically sees me as someone that makes their life complete,
should i kill myself?

I'm not saying that I want to end my life, I'm just saying that it feels like the life I am living is not mine. I want something completely different, yet I cannot find a way out of what seems like a one way track of what is expected of me. It seems I'll graduate college, find a normal average girl, get married, find a 9-5 job, have kids, get old, and die. I hate it. I hate the idea of being so... normal... so average. I just want to scream right now it's eating me up so much. I could swear, that this is not my life. That there is so much more that I want to do, so much more that I can do!

I don't even know how to explain this feeling, just that everything seems... wrong. I don't even really know what my question is... maybe it's how do I start living a life that feels... right?

Evidence of Cosmic Microwave Background radiation found in space shows that the Big Bang did actually occur, so if this evidence has surfaced and shows the means of the creation of the universe, why does man, in relation to religion, still cling the the belief that a God, singular or not, had created us? As well, scientists have discovered evidence that the Holy Bible was written by man under no influence by God, said under false pretences. So why, then, do humans refer to the book as the 'Book of God' when God, if one exists, had no hand in the writing of the historical document? Just some thoughts, answer accoringly, if you wish to.

I'm sure there is somewhere that deals with Musical 3d art of entirely new instruments....help me find some!

Basically, an old man At my college's Local Pot club was telling me how he wants to expose his friend's work to the world(both are old old). The friend is big into music theory and technology and has been creating entirely new instruments from random stuff.. for DECADES.....his stuff can functional as 3d ART and/or performance level instrument(depends on which)...however, he never decided to sell them....and thus had no exposure. Think Brilliant Mad scientist in basement making inventions he never publishes.

He presented them in a local art gallery at my college once. The Art Gal. Director thought they were amazing...said he never seen anything like them in the 12 years since then! He inferred it's a Damn shame the the dude was a wacky recluse becuase he would have been rich/famous as hell with the right exposure.

I plan on painting on a mirror, but I can't decide weather I should use acrylic paints or oil paints. As far as I can tell, I don't think it will make much of a difference either way, except the oil takes longer to dry, so I can take longer to paint it. But I'm not sure if there's any special reason I should use one or the other, except preference. I'm also concerned with being able to clean the unpainted portion of the mirror, and if one type of paint will stay on longer. Or if anybody knows of a totally different type of paint I'm overlooking that would work better for painting a mirror. Any help would be greatly apreciated.
