Why was the Rosetta Stone helpful in deciphering Eqyptian hieroglyphs?

Because King Ptolemy V had it adopted for translation of modern Egypt, King Ptolemy was praised. It was made approximately 196 BC. It was found by the French legions at the mouth of the Nile in the town of Rosetta, and after the treaty was signed by France, in 1801 the Stone was placed in the British museum and has remained there ever since. It was carved in a stone in hieroglyphics, demotic, and Greek. the Greek was a great translator of languages. They actually translated all the Hebrew and Aramaic for the Roman to Latin as well. Greek language on the Rosetta Stone was the key factor to describe the Ancient Egyptian language, and the Demotic, Aramaic, Hebrew etc. The stone deciphering was the key factor in finding many clues in science and for understanding the culture of old as well.
