I know a lot of people who don't seem to like reading things in present tense. I am writting something in first person (i've never written in first person before), and i'm afraid it may be kind of an infodump or have a lack of character development (of the other characters that isn't the one telling the story) Is there ceartian things i should do to keep the reader intrested?
I'm also writting in present tense..
And i also had a question, using -ing words are the present tense?

(sorry i probably should know these things)

She's an English major who's actually teaching science right now. I'd like to get her a book for Christmas...and I've got no ideas. I was thinking of something maybe scientific but entertaining and philosophical. A few years ago I got her "A Short History of Nearly Everything" which she really liked. I need your suggestions.

you look at something you've been looking at for years then suddenly you have a eureka moment, you're inspired to do something that you know instinctly is right for you. It's like you notice it for the first time, it can be anything, from a person to a leaf on a tree or even a piece of rubbish on the street. What was your flash of inspiration, did it lead to anything?

Is there any real cure for loneliness? I know that we are born alone and die alone, but what about in between? Does anyone else feel the way that I do...that this is a cold and lonely world? Isn't this a lonely existence on this planet earth? I truly believe that there is no hell after you die, that hell is right here on earth. Hell is loneliness...nobody wants to talk about it...nobody want to listen to you talk about it...and if you do talk about it, they look at you funny, as if you're crazy. Why don't people want to talk about it? I'm lonely. I've tried it all, and nothing has worked for me, nothing. I'm not ugly, I'm well educated, I have my own home, but for some reason, I'm still all alone.

Looking for the best site to post pictures for public viewing...

I have been trying to find a good site where I can post a number of pictures under several albums/galleries. For example, Gallery 1, then if possible a sub category of each Gallery. But then I would also like to be able to post personal photos as well that might need a password to access (optional).

Also, it would be even more of a bonus if the pictures could be purchased and I can receive compensation from this.

One of the sites I am going to test is smugmug. I have heard of many others, but haven’t looked at them - Fotopic, Zenfolio, Pbase, ImageEvent, Zoto. I noticed that the premium subscription of smugmug will also put a watermark on the pics.

Storage space, ease of use/upload, simple for others to access, perhaps have access to add comments, and lower cost are important factors.

Let me know if you have any recommendations why you would recommend this - have any experience/option on smugmug??

Thanks!

Thought without logic can be tricky.
No beginning-to have a beginning means there was once 'nothing'. 'Nothing' is fine-'something' coming from nothing is not fine. (or it may be) . The other possibility is that 'something' has always been. This poses the obvious question- what can be without beginning or end? The answer is fairly simple- It is the ability to ask the question. What if, let's say, that 'nothing' can be without beginning or end. That is 'nothing' exists. 'Nothing' is the 'something' that has no beginning or end and the thing that has always been and is.So what is the 'something' that is 'nothing'?
"prove all things"- St Paul
"if you stare into the abyss too long, you will see it stare back into you"- can't remember who said that
