ok please help!! :[
my project is due in 12 hours...before the indian removal act, how did the government act towards the indians and how did they negociate? also i could reallyyyy use the link to a website with SOURCES such as actual treaties from before th act....please help!! Basically, representatives of the federal government would deal with one or more individuals claiming to be chiefs (whether they were or not). They generally would only deal with those disposed to sell tribal lands and ignore others who were opposed to doing so. Look up Osceola for an example of an individual who opposed such dealings.
