I'm sure there is somewhere that deals with Musical 3d art of entirely new instruments....help me find some!

Basically, an old man At my college's Local Pot club was telling me how he wants to expose his friend's work to the world(both are old old). The friend is big into music theory and technology and has been creating entirely new instruments from random stuff.. for DECADES.....his stuff can functional as 3d ART and/or performance level instrument(depends on which)...however, he never decided to sell them....and thus had no exposure. Think Brilliant Mad scientist in basement making inventions he never publishes.

He presented them in a local art gallery at my college once. The Art Gal. Director thought they were amazing...said he never seen anything like them in the 12 years since then! He inferred it's a Damn shame the the dude was a wacky recluse becuase he would have been rich/famous as hell with the right exposure.

Doesn't sound like you're in the U.S. If you were I'd recommend you show the Hyperinstrument group at the MIT Media lab. They would be interested in strange stuff like that.

You could try the local college-level conservatory. I would try dealing with the composers on staff as they are likely the ones most open to new ideas/experiences.
