Avoid talking. Do NOT scream, talk loudly, or talk in loud environments (where you have to raise your voice to be heard).
Drink water all the time. The water doesn't physically touch your vocal chords, but keeping over-hydrated means more water gets to your chords in a roundabout way. In choir we used to say if you aren't peeing clear every half hour, you aren't drinking enough water.
Gargle with warm saltwater twice a day.
Drink decaf tea with honey. Also drink warm Theraflu.
Do light warm ups every day to A) make sure you're getting better, and B) keep you voice in some condition. Do not oversing.
Get enough rest. Easier said than done, I know, it's finals time for me, too, but really, you gotta sleep and let your body heal itself.
Get some vitamin C cough drops. The vitamin C will help get you physically better, and the stuff in the cough drops will soothe your throat.
Lastly, I would advise making sure there are enough people in your voice section that you can rely on. If you're the only alto (just an example) in your group, you have to work harder for your part to be heard to fill the harmony. Tell the others in your section that you can only sing lightly right now; you might be pleasantly surprised to see everyone else step up around you.
Good luck.

I am a chorale member for more than a decade and it is a familiar problem with singers. try not talking for at least two days - yes, NOT even a WHISPER. drink lots of water (not fruit juice, soda, etc.), sleep well - take every single chance to take a nap. if you can find a chinese meds called Pei Pa Koa try it. I - and the singers i know - use it to remedy the throat problem. and when you sing use your voice properly. never, never abuse your voice. if you are a singer it becomes your life..

You need some rest, have enough sleep. Hmm, what we do here is we put a slice of ginger in our mouth and let it stay there until the juice of the ginger almost tastes like a saliva.

honey's actually not good for it. Anything syrupy coats your throat more. Lemon is good for cutting through mucus though.
