I know that they had quite a bit of power over who ruled & where. Please help me out on the Crusades and how the Christian church influenced that. I do know that Kiev was one of the few places that chose Orthodody...what about that, too? I'm continuing to search...help please!

I was asked to paint some winter scenes on some office windows down town, but I have never done it before. Do you paint on the inside or the outside of the window? What is the best type of paint to use if you want it to wash off, and what is the best type you want to use if you want it to stay on, even after a washing?
Thank you all, in advance.

One of the most important developments of the High and late Middle Ages was the rise of lay religious piety and devotion. Discuss the causes and features of this as well as the efforts of the church to channel and control it, keeping in mind that some expressions of lay devotion were judged heretical in the eyes of ecclesiastical authorities.

So thats the assignment, I have alot of information the entire period... but I'm not sure which parts to include for this question. Any suggestions would be great. I don't really need some long web article, unless it is really specific. Just ideas! THanks!

The two most important arguments for death penalty are:

F1) It is a strong deterrent
F2) It is essential for retribution

The two most important arguments against death penalty are:
A1) It is not a good deterrent
A2) The law might be objective, but its implementation is very subjective. Once life is taken a subjective error cannot be corrected.

Sorry, I cannot include any religious arguments

I strongly agree with F1 and F2. But A2 is true. In my opinion A2 trumps both F1 and F2 - so I am against it.

Your thoughts?

After reading the Qur'an, the Sunnah Bukhara alot of the ahadith written by IBN Hashim and then the the more popular Ishaq , I am not impressed. ...if this were a song or a book and someone "stoled" several bars and or text, or lyrics from another song - the US Justice Department would prosecute under copywrite infringement laws.- even under freedom of religion and speech.

I have a friend who has taken on more than she needed to. She is going to school full time and is taking advanced placement classes. She is also working an average of 36 hours a week at a back breaking job. She is stressed and was venting to me and someone over heard and acted like her problems were nothing.....that she didn't even know stress. Then the lady started going off on her mortgage payment and everything else. I didn't know what to say but I felt like making her eat her words. But then I started thinking, people always do this do they not? I have heard allot of times someone complaining about something somebody else will almost always counter them with another thing. Why do you think this is?

Sorry, I don't know if this is in the correct category but I didn't really know which one to put it in. Thanks for the answers!
