You need to define one short of everything better. One thing short for everything as in body parts, organs, food, clothing. homes, and all that? Or just one of them. The world is already short of food, clothing, and homes but if there was a shortage of body parts and organs i don't think anyone would live because that would mean you'd be short a kidney, a lung, a bladder, a head, or a heart. I guess we won't know til it happens, now will we?

Why would i wake up at all?
If the world is short 1 of everything. Then it is one short of ME. Thus i do not exist, and thus i have no reason to wake up.

I don't understand "one short of everything". If I woke up and one of each of my shoes was missing, one of my car's tire was missing; I'd laugh my @** off. Then drink some beer.
