Ok I absolutely love novels about wolves, but it seems that I have read almost all that are out there... Does anyone know of any wolf novels? I have read: White Fang, Never Cry Wolf, and The Sight. Though I would much rather not read books about wolves involving magic. I have read more than what I listed, those are just a few examples.

Amen, amen! but come what sorrow can,
It cannot countervail the exchange of joy
That one short minute gives me in her sight:
Do thou but close our hands with holy words,
Then love-devouring death do what he dare;
It is enough I may but call her mine.

My community theatre is in desperate need of some decent roles for women who are 20-30 years old, so I'm searching for plays to present to the selection committee. We've done enough thoroughly light-hearted, even corny-as-hell, productions--we need something that is a bit hard hitting, or at least, more mature. We'd like to move the sense of humour further toward the 'dry wit' end of the spectrum (away from slapstick). Our theatre isn't exactly brimming over with young male actors, so that is a bit of an obstacle. Basically, we're pretty open to plays from any era, of any subject matter...anything that will allow the actress(es) to push themselves. Cheers.

The recent concert which was organised to "Make Poverty History" has not worked so far, will it ever work? If I had a million pounds, but the average savings, etc, was in the hundreds of millions, would I still not be poor? (Not that I consider myself poor, I don't) Is the only way to make poverty history to get everyone to give up what they have that makes them rich, to get rid of the system that defines poverty by the power and the riches of the comparatively few?

I need to compose a short intro piece based on this song for a fashion show. I will be performing this on a cello and I need a place to start. If anyone knows where I could get tab or sheet music of it, that would help me too. Thanks, z

There have been some studies pointing to a connection between neurobiology (including sensory reception) and art. Do artists, particularly painters, perceive and process information in ways that differ from non-artists? If you can point to sources or studies, that would be most helpful.

My Universe
Listen to a summer song
on a winter evening.
Summarize your emotions
on a bunch of chords,
write a pathetic poem with effort
to try to sympathize with God.

Imagine yourself
on a ball-shaped Universe.
A grain of sand
on an empty beach.
So little, so ephemeral,
though so elegant and rich.
Imagine yourself this.

Can you feel the infinite?
can you feel how wide?
can you feel the insignificance
of the human kind?
Think about it, day after day,
Now can you tell me you don't feel afraid?

Loving and loathing myself.
I am tired doing nothing.
Is that another word?
Words, too many woe is me words.
Where can I find the brutal stinging words?
Or the gentle humming tune.
I am a mixed bag of emotions, no words to weep on,
To ponder or to simply indulge my deepest self pity.
Who cares for it?
Just a choice like everybody else, decisions & beliefs to live by,
Consequences, yes consequences and conscience to follow you.
Sometimes the exact feeling is to poison the very paper you scratch at, others to lift you to a place beyond thought & wildest fears.
How do you just be?
Atone my ways; know my heart, I live and love but I am a lost child. To live is to give thanks.
