this is from the poem "Pippa's Song ". written by robert browning
pippa's last words..
if you just look at this sentence you'll get the meaning wrong. you have to see the full picture. pippa is an orphan who has had many difficulties in life and lived in very bad conditions.. but despite that she is still believing..and says:there is still heaven..and god is there.. so everything is allright ...

Let's take each of the three points here individually. First the verse. The context that Jesus was in here is to his chosen disciples prior to their transformation at pentecost. Don't take my word for it though, refer to Matthew 16:19. Jesus is speaking directly to Peter. Throughout Matthew 18 and 19 we read a plethora of things that can cause a man to stumble or things that we can do to cause others to stumble. And it is a warning to believers. As for the gay life style; the popular view is that this is a new thing. But the gay lifestyle has in around a VERY long time and dates back to the Roman and Olympian times. The lesbian lifestyle dates even further than that. It is also referred to in Genesis 18. And God found it DETESTABLE; strong language for a sin. However, who am I judge? By definition of being Christian I AM a SINNER. Otherwise what use would I have for Christ's forgiveness? Love the sinner, not the sin. My last point is on Gay Marriages. This is one the saddest things going on in our churches today and I know that Satan is laughing at us and his works. It is ripping the fabric of our churches and causing churches to lose credibility. We and debating garbage like this instead of celebrating that we have greatest gift ever given; The gift of salvation. If a church sanctions gay marriages, does it make it less of sin?

I'm not exactly sure, but from what I'm interpretated it to mean...at least what I think what they mean is that even though things look really bad in the world and it looks like god doesn't exist, hes probably going to make things better eventually.

^_^ I'll be interested to see responses to this question. I've also wondered about this.

In the context of "EVANGELION" It could mean that "all's right with the world" since "God is in his heaven" With "His Heaven" being his own domain & control, staying out of the world and affairs of Humanity. Which is why "all's right with the world". So basicly it means "As long as God is in heaven where he should remain, and doesn't meddle in Humanity's business, all's right with the world". Hope that helped.

It probably means that things are as they should be.

But if we want to get philosophical about this, then you could take it to mean that God helps those who help themselves. IE He watches over us, as we are supposed to be the ones who learn and figure things out for ourselves, and he will guide us or give us a friendly nudge in the right direction if we get lost or stray, and if we tread the right path, then we will be rewarded with something even as small as a run of good luck, or being in the right place at the right time.

"God is in his heaven, all is right with the world."
God is in heaven and watching over the world.
Or all things are as they should be.
