My parents are Italian, and came to Canada by ship from Italy to work on the railroad. My grandparents died many years ago, and my father is getting older and I would love to surprise him with some family history. Does anyone know where I could start to find some info on past family history?

I'm 18 so I hardly count as an "adult" but I just wanted to know if any other "adults" still like to read young adult fiction. Is it weird to still read this stuff at 18+?

All I really know about him is that he lived/died in Orange County. He jumped in front of a train about 8-9 years ago. I'm having no luck finding any thing and can't afford to "join here 'free'" places. Any info-links you could provide-would be awesome.

For me, I know I take a lot of "creature comforts" for granted. Like the ability to have a long hot bath everyday; eating whatever I want whenever I want it. Just things that are always there, that I never have to think about. I also realize I sometimes take my friends and family for granted...not calling as much as I should, or doing as much to maintain a relationship as I should. I put a lot of things second, that should probably come first. What about you? What things have you realized that you sometimes take for granted?
