Hi, I do not believe that disease is always a product of the mind. Go to any hospital and you will see many diseased bodies. R.N.

Power of suggestion is strong you have people answering you --yes.
The mind body connect is profound but you can't blame the mind on illness. There are very nervous people who are never sick and some very secure people who are very ill.
There are genetic diseases and there is also viral and bacterial illnesses that can't be blamed on the brain.
All the positive thinking in the world can save a person from health issues. Eventually everyones body is hit with one thing or another. Some more than others.
If you get hit with the bird flu or you get cancer lets talk about your mind and see how you feel about your above comment.

Yes the mind does affect the body in every possible way.A man might eat well exercise regularly...but if his thoughts and mind are not of positive thought,if he is terrified of becoming ill,he does so,as the subconscious does exactly what it receives. We are conditioned to believe everything we are told, from the media to the mags we read.We are told to take Health insurance for the benefit of the system, and so many of us believe that when a doctor tells us we have so long to live, through an illness,we believe ,the power of suggestion is extremely powerful. One can heal them self, just as one can make them self ill....?

Next time you get a serious infection, just tell yourself that it's all in your mind and in no time flat the infection will no longer be a problem.
If you have faith, then you can cure yourself of any disease or problem. Just try it!
If I doesn't work, then it means you just didnt believe hard enough, so whatever happens is your own fault.

If that were true just think all those doctors would be so dead, thinking of diseases in others and seeing it all the time. The mind does not always conquer over matter.

That and the all the poison in the atmosphere they keep polluting us with. Almost all modern decease is environmental. But you are making an important point, and I agree to a large extent. I think the point trying to be made is that, you can talk yourself in to getting a decease, if you try hard enough, and that's something I've seen.

There may be a disease that our immune systems can't handle but the mind is our heavest burden in life.It drags the immune system down.

Are you serious? Can you honestly believe that? People get HIV, alot of them dont even know they have it. People die before they know they even had anything. So its hard to see how this theory has any plausibility
