the painting says, awakening. My grandparents in 1927 paid a dollar a month for it. It was framed in 1967. Is this original or a print? How much is it worth? Where can I get the most money for it

i print from old glass negatives, mostly from the 1920s or before and then i add oil colors and designs. i have no idea if anyone has ever owned copyright on these negatives, and i can rarely be sure if they are from before 1921 (the date that i believe separates public domain from copyright protection). i exhibit photos in the u.s. and in france. does anyone know the legal ramifications?

What's your favorite work by Tolkien? Do you like The Lord of the Rings, The Hobbit, The Silmarillion, Unfinished tales? LOTR is still my favorite, but the Silmarillion comes in second.

Also, what do you think of the new book, The Children of Húrin, that J.R.R Tolkien's son will be putting out soon? Will you be buying it?
