My best friend did today and she's mortified. Luckily she wasn't injured, but she thinks everyone will always think of that when they see her.

You know those posters, like the beer, sex or drugs poster, or the "Tequila, lowering womans standards for years" Or "Beer, helping white guys dance."...any of those, are they like a brand or company? Is there somewhere I can print those out? Thanks

I don't understand how to answer this. We read The Province of Philosophy by J. J. C. Smart if that helps.

I recently visited savannah and purchased a beautiful painting from a street artist. However It was on canvas and unframed. I thought such a beautiful painting should be adorned by a finished look (Frame) Is this possible? The sides of the canvas have no paint finish at all and simply looks like tape. What would be the proper way to display this painting?

I love writing! I want to write a good book my parents can be proud of--they aren't very hard to please. i'd rather it be a fiction book.

I have never done it before so I am really not sure how to even get started. I have found some websites that help some but none tell you how to pick type of yarn or what size needle to use.

Something that can actually be drawn. I'l looking for pictures of the ancient Silk Road, what it looked like back then. Or even ones with ancient people in it. Or I guess the ancient Han Dynasty will do.

Nobody say "look it up on... i.e. Google" because I don't need to hear it. I've looked it up on Google, and I haven't found that many good ones, so i'm just wondering if anyone else has come upon other ones.

I have read the poem "A julio de Burgos" and translated it into English. It appears to be a poem about Julia being a split person, two different kinds of women.
My question is, does anyone actually know what the poem is really about and how i could summarize it to make a 5 minute oral presentation? here is a link to the poem in Spanish
http://www.los-poetas.com/k/julia1.htm#A%20Julia%20de%20Burgos
it's the last poem on the right

Thanks

When the lights are out and you can see nothing, is color really there or is it only there when you see? Since you can't see color in the dark, how do we know it's there? How do we not know it's there?

We're doing a theatrical production that requires barbed wire. Don't want to use the real thing as it is dangerous to the actors.
