am looking for a book by; Emily Giffen ,its a new book that just came out but i thought maybe i could check it out at the library, are most books their, I usually just buy them, but the are so expensive so I figured what was the point if i could rent it for a week or two, they just end up in the shelf after am done reading it

If it's a new book then there's probably a waiting list for it. I'm still waiting to get some books that came out months ago from my library because there are so many people that want to read them. You could check with your library and if they're getting the book and if there's a list.

They are not always in the library as soon as they hit the bookstores, but libraries do try to keep up. If it's something you think a lot of other people will want, too, mention it to the librarian. If she does not have it, she may want to get it.

Generally new books take a month or two to make it to libraries, unless you're talking about a home library ;)

If the library does not have it, you can ask if it is on their acquisition list (they do buy new stuff regularly). You can also ask if they have a sort of "loan" program with an other library (sometimes libraries do loan stuff to each other).

no, if it's new it probably be in for a while. try looking it up in the library catalog to see if it's in another library. if it's not ther buy it, then c if there's a place u can give it to. try asking at the library.
