80% of humanity, the religious folks, don't need to ask the meaning of life, the church tells them....the supernatural explanation. But the rest of us can't swallow religious dogma, because there's no evidence. Nobody can prove that there life after death, that people are tortured or rewarded after life or that there's invisible spirits running around.
I've come to two conclusions recently:
1. Life has no meaning
2. Life has a million meanings.
First, there's a certainty that death and annihilation awaits not only you, but the Earth in general. It's an astonomical certainty that our sun will supernova and leave the earth a burnt crisp, not to mention all the other extinction level events around the corner.
Second, the million things that give us meaning are the pleasurable experiences we can conjure up during the short period we are here on the earth, in the form of the relationships we have with our kids and other people, and the 'housekeeping' types of purposes. What i mean by that are the curing disease, ending hunger, improving literacy, reducing crime, preventing war, helping other kinds of things.

To paraphrase Camus, you will never live if you are searching for what life is about, you will never find meaning in a search for it.
Know yourself, have visions, pursue desire, avoid pain, take inventory and start over when you have to.
If you do that, then the meaning will find you, in the middle of the night in your bed or at sunrise on top of a mountain, and then meaning will kick you and if you're smart you will write it down and not forget it. Then you can tell your grandchildren about it before you die or whoever you meet on the other side if you're so lucky as to survive death.
Other than that, don't be arrogant and you'll have a lot more fun.

I believe the meaning of life is to glorify God and to show His love to others in my sphere of influence. I also believe that if one doesn't accept this meaning for their life, then they have 1) wasted precious time here, and 2) missed out on the peace that surpasses everything.
Is there no inherent meaning? No. The fact that you can formulate this thought/question and give it voice, I believe, is reassurance that our self-awareness is evidence of our tie to God himself.

If you knew the meaning of life, life would just get boring. If you knew that then that one thing would be the only thing you need to do, and doing one thing for the rest of your life can just get dull. So really for me I don't want to know the meaning of life and just keep living my life

There is no meaning to life itself. There is no purpose to the universe. You can, however, give life meaning through your actions. Make the world a better place for yourself, your contemporaries and your descendents.

since you are an individual, the meaning of life as it pertains to you can only be defined by you. Why don't you ask, what is the meaning of death? The meaning would only apply to you.

There is no great 'meaning'. We're just here because humans keep reproducing and keep the show on the road! I'm not sure why, though.

there is no meaning of life. Life is what you choose to define yourself. But, don't tie yourself to the floor, it's YOUR life NOT your great grandfathers cousin twice removed's brother in law's.

maybe there's no meaning because if there was something specific it would be boring.Maybe each one has to give his life a meaning himself by thinking of what he likes
