Today, I found that the wrapped loaf of white bread in our pantry was mauled. About half of it was missing, and presumably eaten by something. Closer inspection revealed a 1.5" hole in the plastic bag on the bread (GROSS). Is this a mouse? Roaches? I haven't found any pests or droppings of any kind in my house, and we don't have pets. The bread was stored off the floor on a shelf in our pantry. No other food appears to have been similarly affected. I am so grossed out and want to prevent this from happening again.

I've noticed a lot of questions where a mom or dad is complaining about their parents not watching their kids 'enough.' When did it become a grandparent's responsiblity to watch their grandkids? I've also noticed many complain when they have to pay their parents. Would a person not pay a babysitter? What makes our parents any different? I'm sorry this just bugs me. I pray to God that my kids never expect me to watch their kids! Of course, I will watch them but it shouldn't be something that grandparents feel they HAVE to do.

Probably the following BBC report explains:

Extracted from BBC News item :
Iowa: the reality check for candidates

The BBC's North America Editor Justin Webb explains why this sparsely populated, rural state is so crucial for White House contenders.

Why should our presidential election be so heavily influenced, other Americans sometimes ask, by 100,000 or so people who actually turn up to the Iowa caucuses, most of them white and most of them over 55?

The honest answer is that Iowa and New Hampshire, and the other handful of early votes, for all their unfairness, at least give the system a connection with local communities.

You can answer this question in any way, in any language, in any answer from a source, in any Biblical Scripture, or in any of your beliefs. I'm just very curious about the answers that will appear in this question that you guys will put.

Let me share my answer of in my view for this question, ( I believe in the bible) by reading and contemplating the bible in Genesis chapter 4, I believe that Cain was the first human murderer because he killed his brother Abel.

"But who taught Cain how to kill and if they were one of the earliest humans then how do they know what is death?" I strongly believe that only Satan/Lucifer or the devil could have told him or tempted him or gave him that instant knowledge to know how to kill.

Or in any other country, for that matter? Also, does anyone have information on the sweatshop violations by Wal-Mart and Coca Cola? I would like to have proof before I go around falsely accusing them? And does Target have a history of questionable labor practices?

My two daughters, who just turned 18 & are seniors in high school, left to go snowboarding/tubbing with a couple friends yesterday morning. One of them got her wisdom teeth out a week ago and is still on painkillers. I told her not to snowboard and she agreed. They called me when they go there to tell me they'd be home around 9pm. They walked in the door at 915 yesterday and the one who just got her wisdom teeth out had her arm wrapped and in a sling and said to me, "Sorry, I snowboarded. We have to go to the doctors on Monday to get a cast."
I am furious over the fact that NEITHER of them called me when they went to hospital (how they filled out papers is beyond me) and that she snowboarded anyway. My husband on the other hand, is just glad she's ok and has moved on so we've yet to decide what to do.
How would you feel in this situation?

As a daughter of a retired minister, I believe that ministers (in terms of taxes) are considered an employee of the church, and therefore do pay taxes. However, the church is a non-profit organization and therefore does not have to pay taxes.

However, I continually hear that ministers pay no taxes...if you are a minister, can you answer this question?

In Luke, we read that after Mary's time of cleansing was completed (40 days), Joseph, Mary and Jesus went back to Nazareth. We don't hear anything else until Jesus is 12.

In Matthew we read about the Magi, finding Jesus in a house and then leaving. Herod gets angry, Joseph flees with Mary and Jesus to Egypt. Herod has all the boys under two years of age in Bethlehem and the surrounding hills killed. Herod dies and the family moves from Egypt back to Israel, settling in - yes, Nazareth.

Nazareth is nowhere near Bethlehem. Yet Matthew implies the Magi went to Bethlehem. So the Magi were there within the 40 days prescribed as noted by Luke. But then, they did not go to Nazareth as Luke relates, if they went to Egypt as Matthew tells.

Has anyone got a way to reconcile the two accounts? (and please don't just say "it's a story" or something like that).
