I am only 19 years old and I just had a baby in august. my first one! I wanted to look for Halloween costume for her, but my husbands mother bought one, and I didn't want to be rude and be like no. So I made it clear I was going to do everything first for my daughter.

Christmas dresses were coming out and I was so excited to get her one, I went with my mother to the store and I found some I liked, but my mom told me that my husbands family already bought a cute one. My feelings were hurt and I let them know that it upset me.

So I was going to just buy one and use one for Xmas and Xmas eve, and then I was working soo much and I was thinking where to take her for Santa, and my sister took her without letting me know. She got her pictures taken and on the front page paper! I was upset soo upset, so I was going to take her the weekend before xmas, and then I was helping my husbands family move and we were talking. My sister in law told me are you still upset about your sister taking

It just seems so unnecessary. It's pain that a baby doesn't need to go through. The parents aren't giving that child a choice about getting her ears pierced. I just don't get it. So why do people have that done to their babies?

I guess i have to say this has been the best time of my life. He says he will slow down to avoid scaring me away, but it's hard to slow down when everything is just flowing all on it's own. He says he knew i was the one the first time he saw me, now im getting married to someone who has been a blessing to me from the start. Anyone have a familiar story? Is love at first site possible?

i have a friend. i've known her since my freshman year in high school (we're seniors now). we've had our ups and downs and sometimes throughout the school year we forget about each other but end up coming back to each other towards the end of the year, it seems to be the same cycle for 3 years now. we don't go to the same school anymore but i still visit her every now and then. (also i HAVE liked her before.)
well anyways, lately i think there's been this problem with our friendship getting kind of boring and uneventful. before when i used to visit her we used to just lay on her bed and talk about everything. she used to want to talk to me and want to hang out with me. lately it seems like i'm the only one putting any effort anymore. it's always me who plans any hangouts or me who tries to start a conversation. the last time i went to her place to hang out all we did was sit on her bed and watch tv. for hours. i felt so crappy after i got home. what's going on and what can i do?

I had my own place for three years, since I was 18. I then got preg. at 21 and had a baby. I moved back with my parents for help during the first year untill I got back on my feet. I am now ready to move out of the house. My mother is really negitive about everything since she has not been working. She drinks alot and it is affecting our family. My father is in his own world and doesn't care. He says to ignore my mother and stay living at home to save money. The negitive **** in my house is affecting me. I created a stress free life before I moved back. It is now painful, depressing, and a head ache back at home. I love my parents but their disfunction is affecting me. I have a roommate to help with everything. I was my independance back!! My parents keep trying to make me feel bad about moving out and my mother is not speaking to me. What do I do?? I don't know how to overcome this. It's hard but I can't live my life for everyone else!! Help!!

I work in escrow, which is not so good right now due to the situations in the housing sector. I have some college education and make about 50~60K a year on this job. The way it's going, I see myself making little over 40K next year. I need something more stable and with similar pay scale at least. Please no criticisms, negative, and hater answers please. It is what it is and I just need some ideas for a new career without going back to school for lengthy time, which I cannot afford to do due to my circumstances.

My boyfriend and I have been together for nearly two years and I love him so much. Even though we are just "friends" right now we still talk and have that connection. Well, I found out I was pregnant by him... again. I ended my first pregnancy with an abortion but I just can't go through that again. His mind is made up, he doesn't want the baby. He told me that I am getting an abortion. To be honest, we are too young to be parents and I'm not quite ready either. His little comments like "You're not having this baby if I have anything to do with it" kind of scare me. I am willing to have this baby and give it up for adoption to a loving family since we are young. Can he make me get an abortion since he is the father?

Our baby is 41/2mths old now. We've had him for a month now. For so long I've been debating wether or not I can handle having a cat with 3 very lazy teenage children and an even lazier husband. But I don't know if I'm lucky or what the kitten has brought so much joy to our life. He's for sure the nicest, cutest most lovable kitty in the whole world. He lets us do what ever we want with him, hold him, kiss him,hug him, bush him etc.. and dosen't say a thing and just waits patiently till we're done as not to offend us. He'll sleep in my lap or lets me rock him to sleep.All of us are so crazy about him, we even cancelled our small family vacation(too cold anyway) so we don't leave him alone.
On to my question: We've been trying to train him to do a few tricks like to bring the ball back to our hand or come when he is called. We're even trying to give him treats but he doesn't seem to be able to connect the two together. Any advice on how we should accomplish this
