most of us r hesitant and not willing to join army themselves nor send their family members.......inspite of the fact that we know that its a wonderful job and great service to mankind.....

many say...death will come when it has to.....yet thay fear death perhaps and don't join the army....

I read it when I was a little girl so it was around 1994-1999 and I was like 6 or 8 or something. Anyway, it was about this little boy (but maybe he wasn't a boy. maybe he was like a animal. maybe a hippo. for some reason a hippo stands out)

these are the things i remember

he eats an apple
buries the apple,
the apple grows into an apple tree
an apple hits him on the head,
he befriends the apple
he sits under the tree threw the season (i remember snow but i also remember that in another pic it was sunny)

oh and it was a picture book

has anyone read/ heard of it?

please help!

Today is my husband's birthday and I didn't have the money to buy him anything and he is upset because he didn't get anything. Now I feel bad. I don't know what to do though. I can't buy him anything. He has to work tonight so we don't have a lot of time to spend with eachother. I want to be able to do something special for his birthday. last week they send me to go see a psycologist to determine

she woke up with her left eye red and watery. yesterday it was very windy and we were out and about most of the day. there is no sign of the yellow gunk you get when you have pink eye, but it may be too early for that. could it be pink eye? what are the signs?

I think my Mother-in-Law is giving me a necklace that I do not want. I really appreciate the thought, but I really don't want it. It is a Journey necklace (I think it's about 1/4 ct.) and it's the squiggle one. My husband wanted to get it for me before and he asked what size I would want...I told him the one ct. would be nice, but I didn't really want a smaller one. I know that sounds horrible...but he used to work in the jewelry business and I have a lot of stuff so I can be "picky" about what I get now. This pendant has 7 stones...can you imagine how TINY they are if all 7 add up to 1/4 ct.? One of my earrings is bigger than that...what do I do?

I feel like I sound really ungrateful and mean, but I'm honestly not that way. If I am going to wear something that is real diamonds I want to be able to see them and have others be able to see them...that’s all. And as I said before, I already have a lot of stuff so now I am a little more selective as to what I want.

I work for an Atlanta based company here in New York City and have suspicions that my store will be closed down and that the owner is well aware of the situation. My question is for a store of 5 employees what are the laws for a store closing such as how many days in advance does she have to tell us that we are closing. I know there are certain laws for stores of 50 or more but not sure about small companies. So if anyone can help and let me know the laws and let me know if it would be legal to sue her if she doesn't give us enough warning? I've been here a year but my coworkers have only been here 3 months so they wouldn't be able to get unemployment and we would also need time to look for a new job. Please help.

When I was 18 I bought a home through USDA rural development, with only my name on the mortgage. (My boyfriend and I in the house with my daughter but since we weren't married they didn't put his name on the loan and they told me if we weren't married by the time we closed on it, he would never be responsible for the debt.) Soon after we moved in, we got married and he went off to basic training for the army. We ended up getting stationed in Georgia, halfway across the country and decided to rent out the house. To make a long story short, the renting didn't work out and I got stuck with that house payment and my new rent where my husband is stationed. I am a few payments late on that mortgage as it is and I am considering just doing a buy-back or whatever the technical term for that is because we didn't anticipate this happening and we can't pay two house payments.
