Most of the episodes are general topics.There are very less only women related topics.But most of viewers are females.

Why is that?

I'm a guy, and would be happy to be in the audience for any of their shows, since they both are very interesting, knowledgable, and entertaining hosts. So I really don't understand why the audiences wouldn't be a 50-50 mix.

The whole idea of talking just appeals more to women I suppose. Also if the situation is that few men are ever in the audience, other men might not be so willing to change that. The idea of talking through stuff rarely appeals to men and the celebrities Ellen gets on tend to appeal more to women. Also, Ellen represents a lot of what a lot of women like to see in themselves, like confidence and humour, so she's popular.

The answer is simple, men don't want to go on talk shows. The things that Oprah/Ellen talk about are infact general ,but guys don't want to be on shows where they know thier will be mostly women+no wrestling xD. And to flip the other side of the coin women love to be on talk shows where you talk...
Women=love to talk
Men=love to do nothing

Are you serious? Who watches those crappy shows anyway? Women. Most women are whiny babies that like those talky talk shows and soap operas.

Yeah I said it! And I'm a woman. I hate Oprah, it's so boring. I hate Dr. Phil, that guy is weird and stupid. At least Ellen is funny, but it's still another talk show.

I'd rather watch sports center or cartoons, than watch a talk show. I do like the court shows though.

They generally play in the middle of the day, so the regular viewers are mostly women who have stayed home to care for children. The audience just reflects the viewer demographic.

Since these episodes are filmed in the daytime, it's mostly just local stay-at-home moms who bought tickets, or working moms who have come to the taping on their day off, or women who are vacationing out of town. Also, it's the type of thing that would appeal to women, as they (well, SAHM's anyway) are the type of people who would watch this while men go off to work. The only men I see that would come to a taping like this are either retired from their jobs, have the day off from work or are on vacation from out of town.

Because women do most all of the talking with each other. Think of Oprah as being one big chick gossip fest in a studio instead of the girl's bathroom or phone conference.
