It makes me furious and I can honestly say that I have never ignored it. I have always stepped in, sometimes to my detriment

When it comes to children or teens, they fear being bullied as well and while they may want to interfere or try to stop the bullying, they may not out of fear of retaliation. Many adults don't care. Some do but don't want to get involved out of the same fear as those that children experience, fear of reprisal by the person doing the bullying. I think most adults get upset when they see another adult bullying a child, but don't think it's their place to do anything about it. I'm not saying it's right, but that's just what happens.

I was actually bullied at school, I couldn't take any more when one day he pushed me over the edge and I knocked him down with one punch to his jaw. I was as surprised as he but he never tried it on anyone else after that. A pal saw what happened and he did the same with someone else that kept teasing him unmercifully (we were very young, about ten) many months after, that worked also.

I hate it because i was bullied so it also brings back horrid memories.
I always try & step in, but sometimes its really hard because i'm so scared they are going to pick on me again.

Upset and a bit sick. I hate to see others in pain, I always get really upset and angry that someone can do something bad to someone else.
