Are there really any true cross town or regional rivalries? Other than disliking the people on the other side of the tracks, what's the point?

Isn't it better for the sport and each team in your area if fans supported multiple teams? I'm not talking season tickets here, but a lot of fans could go to a home game practically any day of the regular season.

What about the teams with no real interleague rival: Red Sox, Blue Jays, Phillies, Braves, Tigers, Mariners, Pirates, D-Backs, Rockies, Brewers, Twins, and Padres. Isn't it a waste of their time?

I guess nobody will want to make a analog to digital converter box that could be internally mountable because I don't want to deal with carrying the box room to room with a TV that I move room to room. But if there was a cheap enough hack I would be interested. Shame to have to throw the set out in 14 months.

The Watchtower organization claims to be the Faithful and Discreet Slave spoken of in Matthew 24:45.

"We all need help to understand the Bible, and we cannot find the Scriptural guidance we need outside the ‘faithful and discreet slave' organization." (The Watchtower, Feb. 15, 1981.) (See the quote in context.)

All who want to understand the Bible should appreciate that the "greatly diversified wisdom of God" can become known only through Jehovah's channel of communication, the faithful and discreet slave. The Watchtower; 10/1/1994; p. 8.
This Watchtower organization, the faithful and discreet slave, claims to the means by which God communicates His truth to us in this world. Therefore, by deduction, what the Watchtower says is truth. Alright, let's take a look at one quote from the Watchtower.

"From time to time, there have arisen from among the ranks of Jehovah's people those, who, like the original Satan, have adopted an independent, faultfinding attitude...They say that it is sufficient to read the Bible exclusively, either alone or in small groups at home. But, strangely, through such ‘Bible reading,' they have reverted right back to the apostate doctrines that commentaries by Christendom's clergy were teaching 100 years ago..." (The Watchtower, August 15, 1981, p. 29). (See the quote in context.)

The Watchtower says that the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and the physical resurrection of Christ are all false doctrines. Yet, the Watchtower says that if you read the Bible by itself you will end up believing these doctrines. In other words, if you read the Bible by itself, then you will become a Trinitarian, believe that Jesus is God, and believe that Jesus rose from the dead physically. Why is that? Could it be because the Bible teaches these things? So I ask the Jehovah's Witnesses, what is it in the Bible that would lead someone to this conclusion? Again, what is in the Bible that reading it by itself would lead you to believe in the Trinity, the deity of Christ, and His physical resurrection?
This quote from the Watchtower is proof that it is teaching contrary to the natural reading of the Bible and that it is controlling the beliefs of those who follow it.

OK-this may sound ridiculous-but it`s driving me crazy !
My glasses pinch the bridge my nose a bit-if I loosen them they slip down all the time-I have slight pink marks either side of the bridge of my nose as a result-great !
Anyone got any suggestions to stop this?
Thanks in advance-ps-don`t like wearing glasses because of this-but optician says my eyes are too dry for contacts.

When investigating for ghosts or paranormal phenomena?
My opinion is no that we our bodies and the mind is really the only tool we need. But I no longer investigate to "prove" and "document" evidence of ghosts. My reason now is personal and to learn of life after death.

I had a physical today and I told the doctor about my anxiety about riding in vehicles and he prescribed paxil, I don't like taking meds so I checked it out on the internet and read a lot of bad things about it, and I'm thinking no way I would rather have the anxiety, have any of you had to take paxil, how was it?

There are so many people I know who have found 3, 4, 5, or even like 50 fake profiles of people using THEIR pictures on MySpace. Now, I realize that some people make fake profiles of themselves to increase their self-esteem or something stupid like that, but a lot of these have got to be other people. I work for a great small business. I love the owner dearly, as though she is family. However, I've had problems with some other co-workers that continue to be unresolved. They are such dear, thoughtful people that they will give anyone continuous chances to prove themselves.

Recently, with the report of some thefts, they have taken keys away from most employees. I am the only person outside family that has one. However, now that means I am frequently (almost always) counted on to always be the person who arrives early, stays late or misses lunch when other employees who don't have a key have a need. I even feel that some of the other employees take advantage of this situation by arriving just 10 or 15 minutes later in the evenings and asking me to hold the door for them.

What's the best way to approach this? It's becoming more and more of a problem, and I know that if I continue to ignore it, it will only continue to get worse.

Ok, here's the story. Yesterday I went #2 and when I wiped there was a fair amount of bright red blood on the tp. I was a "hard" poop, and took a while to get it out. Well I went today, and it was also a "scratchy" poop; and there was blood again. There is no blood in the water or in the poo, just on the tp. What can cause this? I've done some research on the internet and they say that bright red is good, dark red is bad; mine is bright red. I'm very worried about this. I suffer from IBS with constipation, so I'm not sure if this like a normal thing. I think i might have just scratched my anus when pooping, but I'm not sure. HELP!!

also, i really REALLY don't want to go to the doctors.

...be distracted by Jessica Simpson when she was in a SKYBOX for three-quarters of the game! Honestly, I'm surprised TO/Romo didn't complain about how distracting the Cowboy Cheerleaders are. My x girlfriend and I have a 8 month old son and another on the way. She recently filed for full custody even though she has him all the time. I asked her why she would do that even though she has him all the time and she said its for security. She never wants me to see him. I really believe she has some kind of motivation for doing this. Whats the reason a woman would want to do this even though she has him all the time anyway?Whats the benifits for her? She said she wasnt gonna go for child support at the time but things are changing about that right now. I think shes really trying to screw me. Any advice?

it seems to be a common knowledge among non-believers, the history of christmas. but christians dont seem to know this history.

My husband is very picky about his coffee being super hot. I have bought him 3 different coffee pots and none of them get the water hot enough for him. At this point I don't even care what the cost is, since I've already bought more than I'd like to. I just want to know what kind of coffee pot will get and stay very hot, and of course work in all other ways that it should, but the hotness being the most important. Thanks for your help!!!
