do u have to go to your doctor to go on the pill?
and after each pack do you have to go back for an apointment or jst pick a prescription?

to get started yes you have to go see either a doctor or go to planned parenthood. Once you have the rx, you can keep filing it for 1 year, then you have to get another pap smear.

When I first started on the Pill, my doctor gave me a three month trial prescription, after which I had to go and have my blood pressure taken and have a discussion to see if I had any side effects. I was then given a 6 month script, then had to go back to have it filled again and my blood pressure taken again.

Now though, I only go every year to have it filled.

I think it's down to the individual, but because there are so many types of pill available, they want to check with you regular to make sure you're on the right one for you, and because there can be so many side effects too...

most doctors surgeries run a family planning clinic where you can just see the nurse rather than the doctor. You should make an appointment as they can talk you through all the available options - there are different pills that suit different people.

you wont need to keep going back, you can just get a repeat prescription

Go to your doctor cause there are lots of different pills out there and get repeat and go back to see doc every 6 months or so

ive been on the pill & i didnt go to my doctor. i used my local family plannning clinic. they gave me 3 months supply at a time. you could go 2 your gp if you prefer.
