My dad hates my bf. My bf hates my dad. The reason my dad hates him is because my dad is obsessed with money. When my bf wasn't working my father constantly herassed him about it. While I wasn't trippin supporting my bf, my father instisted that he was a free loader and what not.
When the bf left me, my dad gloated about it though I was heart broken, and rubbed it in my face as often as possable.
Now bf and I are in peace talks and want to work on our relationship. I really don't care what my dad says, I wan't to be with my bf (im 24 by the way. Far to old for daddy to be controlling me i think.) Is there anyway to mend thier rift or should I just keep them apart?
Any dads out there want to give me advice on this one?

Again, I see all kinds of weird and fun answers to posed questions and leads me to ask this one.
A day for us is a 24 hour period. Throughout Scripture, God speaks of days, weeks, months and years. Moses - 40 years.....; King Hezekiah - additional 15 years........, Joshua - one day......., Jericho - 7 days.......
Do you not think that God KNOWS what a day is? God designed TIME and one second is one second. Show me where this is evolving into something else or changed from, ahh....I can't grasp the concept.
I don't understand where you come from where you think the earth used to spin faster - back then.
I don't understand where you think one day was one year - back then.
I don't understand where you think that God does not know what He is doing.
I need some enlightenment on this.

Since saturday my son has had a cold and cough. Also he has cut two teeth. He is drinking very little and now has diarrhoea. I have also noticed he is very windy, coming from both ends. He will take so much of his feed and then will scream and take no more.
He is still quite happy within himself and will laugh and smile.
I have taken him to the doctors twice and they have put it down to his cold.
I am at my wits end as I am worried as he is not feeding properly. I can just about get him to take 2oz of water.

Any one else had a baby that has been poorly like this?

Please, I am just asking for advice and I know that no one is medically qualifed here.

I live, breathe dream about this business I am starting up. I just stayed up 20+ hours doing research and other things. I can't sleep because I constantly think about it! I know it will work, thats why I am excited and can't seem to stop thinking about it. I am a workaholic. I am a father to be soon, I just am worried since I will work at home, I will be so obsorbed into work that I won't spend time with my child. I don't want to do that but then again I want to live comfortable and show my child that hard work pays off. I just need to know how to balance things I suppose?

It means a member of society, but the nuance is someone who is working.

I think it shows just how old-fashioned some people in Japan think. To call someone a member of society only when they're working excludes a lot of people from society.

It's one thing for a celebrity to name their child Paris, or Suri, or Heavenly Tiger, or Fifi Trixibelle - the child will never have to get a job - but why would anyone else do it bearing in mind that they will be judged for that name for the rest of their lives?

One of my sisters suggested that I should think about how the name I chose for my baby would sound when she won the Nobel Prize and it's not that I have such goals for my baby, but it seemed like good advice to stay grounded.

I'm talking about made up names, surnames spelled backwards, 'unusual' spellings, and such like.

its 3 am and I'm still here
I've got to find a way out somehow
but its taking for ever
thought I'd be gone by now

I see things in the shadows
hear things in the air
