Of the millions of Municipal, County, State and Federal laws, how can citizens pull together to have changes to various statutes brought forth for public debate and vote?

Will Universal Health Care make the health system better for all or will it make it worse for all. Will we all end up with a Medicaid type of coverage with long waiting lists for essential services, government health care workers that don't care about the quality of their service, a system designed & operated in the same model as the U.S. Postal Service. In other words will misery be spread across our land? With the exception of course for those with political power and connections, those who foisted the plan upon the people, the Clintons, Pelosi, Kennedy, the entire Democratic leadership, Do you really believe that they will stand in line with the public & be told that the next available appointment is in 6 months?

I got engaged in May of last year. The planning was a whirlwind of chaos. Suddenly my fiancé lost his job and because of an earlier accident will need surgery. He didn’t want me to cancel our plans, which we had to with no money coming in on his side and he is now not setting a new date, though he does talk about “our wedding”. If pressed, he’ll yell at me and tell me I am being selfish for asking. So I don’t anymore. Before we met, he dated his sister in law’s sister. Her picture is still in his Mom’s livingroom being as she IS family and all. Now it’s been decided or rather I’ve been told, when he goes for his surgery he’s asked his sister in law to go to the hospital and take care of him. He said I work and can’t get time off and she offered so he accepted. Then he was telling me how he filled out paperwork and while he put me as an emergency contact he did not put me down as his beneficiary. Until now, he always did. He was saying that his sister in law pointed out that we’re not married and even though we live together, I am not entitled to any of his assets should anything happen, because I am not his wife and his blood family should get anything. Ok. Fine. I have my OWN stuff I don’t want his. I depend on his income and we live as husband and wife. Until now, no one’s seemed to have an issue. I do suspect he has issues with being told what to do, she is always right, she knows what she’s talking about. He will even go to her with advice I’ve given him and takes hers over mine. She’s not even older or wiser… or even has a job of her own, she lives off his brother. Should I run far and fast from this situation or just accept it and love him anyway? HELP… I don’t know how to read this…

if a man pays the money that the child can live off only his money and there is some extra left over that the mother is using for house or rent payments why shouldnt the child just live with the man?

if the man can raise and take care of the child after work and during work can afford a babysitter to take care of the child, why does the father lose the child and the mother gets it when she cant even pay for the apartment herself not even including paying half for the child

I just moved into my new house afew months ago and seem to have some bad luck with the new items I've bought..first my TV broke down before I'd even watched it, my friend broke my cup and bowl. I broke my new kettle when cleaning it, my heater broke down, i bought a new one which burnt my new airbed when i was pumping it for a friend. my bathroom tiles just fell off. surely something must be wrong somewhere. what do you think?

I'm looking at a Panasonic TZ3 at this moment. The zoom is what is appealing and the size of the camera. I want it to take good pictures. I go to a lot of concerts so a camera that takes good pictures in low light would be good. And to have pictures that don't come out blurry because of all the movement. I'm willing to spend about $500. Thanks for all the help.
