How easy would it be to change a starter on a 2000 ford Taurus
I believe that is the problem.when I go to start it all it does is Click click click...

Starters also click,click,click when the battery voltage is too low. To change a starter, disconnect the negative cable on the battery, remove the wiring from the starter solenoid, remove the bolts holding the starter to the transmission. to install do every thing in reverse order with hooking up the battery negative cable last. It's easier to have a mechanic do it than buy all the right tools.

its easy its 2 or 3 bolts max just unscrew them and disconnect the terminals and screw the new one right in. you could however try to smack the solenoid with a hammer though it works for a while the solenoid is the funny looking add on on the side of the starter and this sticks stopping the starter operate if you hit it you sometimes free it and it allows the starter to turn over (operate) for one try..

be 100% sure in not battery or loose/dirty connection...battery=easy starter= hard...get shop manual 15 dollars.. pays 4 itself first use.
