Yes but normaly not coed rooms.
I was at training once in an old building and there were times that the latrean was female and other times for male. Better not have to go when it's not your turn!

Yes. Because the Army still uses so many WWII barracks buildings, with only one latrine per floor, the troops have to use the same shower and toilet facilities.
