I work in a small touristic company of 12 people and it is horrible! I have studied Math in the uni for 6 years and also speak several languages and here they make me to do a secretary, to wash the floor all together with having lunches with clients from abroad cause I'm the only one who speaks those languages! With my languages and ability to make contacts they really need me here! But this horrible washing of the floor... and they shout at me about everything! And we always work more then 9 hours a day, usually about 12 and sometimes more then 15 hours. We also don't have a breake for a dinner. Well, we can eat but we can't go out (it's not said but if you go out they start shouting and such and asking angriely why aren't you working) and we usually eat continuing working in front of the pc and repling on the phone calls. And I get paid very little, I get paid 2$ per hour... it's the cost of BigMc here.. I wrote in BigMcs cause I live in Ukraine, so the prices and salaries are different. This is my first job. Tell me please if this is really like this everywhere or I was a lucky one? Or maybe I am to picky and have to take life like it is instead of wanting something good or at least normal! I recently came off all my prescribed medications recently (against better advice) as I had a very bad reaction to Tramadol. I was taking Valium, Xanax, Prozac and various pain killers for my problems, but those are the main ones that I was taking. In the end, it was a constant barrage of all those, with Tramadol, and I'm not proud to admit, quite a bit of alcohol. I'm completely dry for over three weeks now. Quitting isn't the problem. The problem is the nightmares. I am remembering things that I have repressed from being five. I can't sleep during the night, as staying in deep sleep (REM) for too long really emotionally upsets me. I am literally waking up in the night crying.

So i look as if I am sleeping all the time; losing weight because I don't want to leave the bedroom, but I am just mostly talking to myself or staring at the wall, and half in and out of consciousness.I can't go on like this.I can't deal with the stuff my dad did to me growing up right now.Any advice?

When I extract the file, it seems to be extracting it to an .avi file, but I can't play it in Windows Media Player (well, the sound plays) and I can't play it in Quicktime (version 7). When I tried it in Quicktime, the window is just white. Nothing happens.

I tried extracting it with 7-zip instead, but that did not work either.

What am I doing wrong?

I have a loaded 9mm in a case next to my bed, easily accessible in an emergency. If someone comes into my home while my wife and I are sleeping I've practiced what to do, but one thing I'm not sure of is where I should aim. I've heard horror stories of people just wounding an intruder (ex. messed up a leg, paralyzed, etc.) and the criminal came back a couple years later and sued the shooter for all they were worth because they would be disabled the rest of their life. Due to this fact I've heard people say, "always shoot to kill." I just wanted to get more opinions on this before it happens to me, God forbid.

Me and my husband are traveling from Germany to USA to visit my family for Christmas. We have gifts of course. The gifts consist of very breakable things. We have 5 bottles of champagne, 1 bottle of liquor and a beer. We have already wrapped them in bubble wrap but I'm afraid that's not enough. If they DO break, not only will the gifts be gone but our clothes will never ever be rid of the smell of alcohol. Is there any ideas??? Thanks!

Can we all burn a few more things because the UK is like the north pole at the moment, we could certainly do with some sunshine! I can barely play golf at the moment and the cold is really getting on my nerves. Anyone else agree? There is a limit to how long we can leave the engine on in our 4X4.

Every time I watch the network channels like ABC, CBS, NBC, FOX in HDTV, there are these black horizontal brackets that appear on the sides of the screen. Will network tv remove these eventually and present them as just as option, so you can watch programs in fullscreen, because it's a bit of a nuisance?
