My dad is a painter, and he does a lot of work painting over tagging on electrical boxes. It's the summer holidays over here where I live, and there are a lot to do because children are on school holidays, and with all his other work, he was talking about how worried he was about getting behind. I offered to help out, knowing I'd never done any painting before but I'd give it a go to make things a little easier on dad, I told him he didn't need to pay me, just the petrol money would be good, but he insisted he'd pay anyway. I got my friend and the both of us took off this morning, and spent 8 hours painting, doing our best. When we got home, he shouted at me! told me that I didn't do enough and that i was more of a hinderance than a help. He is still shouting from the other room. I felt pretty annoyed! We'd done out very best, getting through the traffic on our uni holidays and painting them all, and it's a little disheartening! Am I being a bit sensitive here?

Thanks in advance :)

How does everyone keep their password and pin numbers memorized? Is it a smart idea to keep the same password? I have a growing stack of papers in a folder and it's a mess with all the info I've been collecting over time. Any tips or advice greatly appreciated!

In the movies he breaks one in Rivendell and then he breaks another one in Fangorn Forest when he throws it at Gandalf.

He seems to be portrayed as carrying a double headed axe across his back and holding a single headed axe.

Ok, I just left for college and I can't make friends. Something in the back of my head just won't let me. In high school I was really popular but in college I just can't move onto new friends? Does anyone have any ideas of how I can fix this?

A laboratory sample consists of a mixture of two radioactive substances, both of which decay into inert gases which evaporate into the air. The initial composition of the sample by weight is 20% of substance A and 80% of substance B and the initial weight of the sample is 264 grams. After 2 days the sample weighs 217.612240257459 grams and after 4 days it weighs 179.666588758521 grams.
a) What is the half-life of substance A?
b) What is the half-life of substance B?
(c) What will the sample weigh after 25 days?

I'm confused about how to deal with the 2 substances in the sample, so I don't even really know where to start with this one.

my friend mike is a preacher's kid. he's almost 21. he was on main street and lit up a cigarette. when he got home his parents said 3 of our members called and said they saw you w/ a cigarette. then they chewed his a$s. he said he's an adult and what he does is none of their business. I don't agree w/ smoking, but I do agree w/ it not being their business. another time he went to class (college) in pajama bottoms. lots of students do that. his parents got called and said we saw mike at the college wearing pajamas! what is wrong w/ that boy blah blah blah. also, he was downtown again and holding his girlfriend's hand. he kissed her on the lips. guess what happened? yup! phone calls and all that. (his parents didn't care). he gets pretty pissed off, and I would to. He flat told his parents that it's no one's business, and that if the church members say something to him, he'll say it's no one's business but my own. watcha think?

I'm about to start on anti-depressant medication, but have heard it causes sexual side affects? Is this common and exactly what problems does it cause? I don't want to ge ED (erectile dysfunction) or anything like that from the medicine. Also, if you do get sexual side affects do they go away after you stop the medication. Thanks.

I went in for a routine suction D&C following the birth of my daughter (the doctor believed there were retained POC's). It was supposed to be a 30-minute outpatient procedure with complications including cramping and spotting. I was given the option not to have surgery and to let it pass on it's own (the clot was getting smaller with every ultrasound), but there was some risk of infection. So, I agreed to the procedure. During the procedure, "something" happened, they haven't really been able to tell me how, but my uterus was perforated, my right fallopian tube was torn off, and my bowels were "bruised". Major abdominal surgery was performed and I was transfered by ambulance to the hospital, where I stayed for 24 hours. Friends/family have suggested a malpractice lawsuit to cover the 6 weeks lost wages, the hospital/ambulance bills and damages including the loss of fertility and added risk for future deliveries, which due to the size of the perforation will have to be c-section.
