Obviously other than Cameroon in 1986 and 1990 the South Koreans do create such a history in FIFA World Cup 2002 after they brought down Italy 2-1 after extra time in round of 16 and creating upset against Spain in quarter final with the score after the penalty shoot out 5-3.
In FIFA World Cup 1994 Bulgaria had defeated Germany 2-1 in the quater final and progress to the semi-final stage.
